🌿 About Us – Our Story

At Ethoria, we believe fashion can be both stylish and responsible, and we need the basics clothes as well. 
Founded with over 20 years of experience in quality certifications, technical consultancy, and sustainability, we wanted to create an alternative to fast fashion – one that values people, the planet, and transparency. The reason for it being only in Europe for now is that we have only evaluated european suppliers and want to test out the concept here before we go wider. Evaluating suppliers is one of the key benefits you get from buying from Ethoria, it is something I have done for 20 years. We only send from an european hub to european customers to minimize our footprint.

Our Mission:
To offer timeless, everyday clothing made with certified materials that respect the environment and the workers who produce them. We're also setting aside 10% of the profit in a fund to give away to environmental or ethical initiatives on a yearly basis, we will get back to the set up of this as soon as we see a profit, so hold me accountable.

• Print-on-demand: We only choose high quality suppliers with known sourcing and only produce when you order – no overproduction, which is one of the main issues with clothes.

• Quality first: Clothes designed to last longer, reducing waste. All tested by us and having high scoring reviews.
• Safety: We use well tested solution through Shopify and PayPal for secure payments.

**Our Commitment:**  
We want to offer clothing that is better for both people and the planet. We recognize that no supply chain is perfect, but we commit to choosing the best available options and being transparent about both strengths and challenges.  

**Our Principles:**  
1. Certified suppliers only  
   We work with known suppliers  – all holding certifications such as GOTS, Oeko-Tex, and/or Fair Wear, and even others.  

2. Print-on-demand production with high quality products
   No overproduction. Each item is made only when ordered.  

3. Reduced transport footprint  
   Products are shipped from the nearest fulfillment center (Europe for European customers) to cut down on transport emissions, and set up to be sent in one package if nothing special arise.  

4. Transparency and accountability 
   We will publish an annual update with links to supplier sustainability reports, along with our own evaluation of their progress.  

5. Continuous improvement 
   We closely monitor innovations such as digital traceability (e.g. AWARE QR codes) and new certification schemes, and we will adopt them as soon as they become available.
